The Animal Classification Escape the Volcano Flash Card Game provides students with a fun way to practice classifying animals by type. It focuses on vertebrates exclusively and covers the five main classes: mammals, birds, amphibians, reptiles and fish. Invertebrate flash cards that are compatible with this game are sold separately here.
During game play, each player or team must correctly name the type of animal that is face up on the track in order to advance along the game board. At the same time, the lava is approaching as indicated on the Lava Flow Indicator. In order to win, players must answer all of the flash cards correctly and get to the island before the lava reaches them.
